With a career that has taken him from the Dominican Republic to stages across the country, Leonard has performed with renowned companies, collaborated with celebrated choreographers, and is currently serving as the inaugural Artist-in-Residence at the University of Rochester’s Frederick Douglass Institute and Program of Dance and Movement. We can’t wait for our dancers to be inspired by his artistry, knowledge, and contagious energy this summer!☀️

⭐️Senior Spotlight: Killian Beck⭐️

Today we’re celebrating Killian and all she has accomplished during her time at The School of Rochester City Ballet! 💖

A graduate of Pittsford Sutherland High School, Killian is excited for future opportunities to come and is embracing the journey one step at a time. One of Killian’s favorite parts of SRCB has been dancing with friends and meeting new people. Her advice to younger dancers: “prioritize your mental and physical health, develop strong time management skills, and remember that everyone’s path is unique. Find joy in what you do and trust yourself.”🌟

George brings an incredible range of professional experience spanning ballet, Broadway, opera, and concert dance. A former professional dancer and current Director of Manhattan Youth Ballet, he has performed with renowned companies including the National Ballet of China, West Australian Ballet, Carolina Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, Ballet Memphis, and the Metropolitan Opera. His dynamic career and passion for teaching make him an inspiring addition to our faculty.

From graduating as a Dance and Vocal Major to heading to Rider University to pursue a BFA in Musical Theater with a Dance Minor, Joey’s journey is just beginning! 🎭🩰

This summer, Joey will be balancing work, classes, and continued growth as an artist. When reflecting on his time at RCB, he shared how much he values the close-knit community and friendships that make every class so special.🩷
