English Village Elementary School

🐻🐾 Today, a group of students from the English Village Cub Council, our student leadership team, along with several first graders, proudly represented English Village at the GCSD District Leadership Day. Students participated in a student panel where they shared how Leader in Me is woven into our school culture and daily routines, as well as discussed our school’s Wildly Important Goals. Other students had the opportunity to showcase their student portfolios and highlight their growth and leadership journey throughout the year. 💜🩶

🎨Students are creating beautiful, colorful art by Quilling. This method involves rolling, shaping and gluing narrow strips of paper together to make designs.

🐾🐻 Painting some cute rock bugs as they study entomology. 🐞

🐻🐾 Our students are reading The Cool Bean and learning that being “cool” means being kind, including others, and being yourself! Then they colored their own cool bean.

From sharing smiles to helping friends, these lessons are helping our students grow into caring classmates every day. We love seeing kindness in action throughout our school!

🐻🐾Learning fractions is fun when you make pizza! Students cut their pizza into halves or quarters then added their favorite toppings. 🍕

This week our English Village PTA hosted our annual K.I.S.S. (Kids Invite Someone Special) breakfast - where our students got to bring their adults in and share food & fun times together!

On Wednesday we welcomed our Kindergarten families, 1st Grade on Thursday, and today was 2nd Grade!

Thank you to our EV PTA, Community Schools, and our English Village Staff who came to help make this event such an amazing success!

🐻🐾 EV 1st Graders learned all about fire safety at the Hazard House this week. Thank you to our local Firefighters for teaching our students. 🚒

1st Graders took some time this week to work in Harmony. They practiced using Orff instruments, which include Xylophones and Glockenspiels. Great work little Musicians!

🐻🐾 We are so proud to have Mrs. Romansky as a teacher at EV! 🎉
