Our programs offer personalized attention in an engaging, supportive learning environment. Faculty are dedicated to training and mentoring fellows to ensure the successful development of clinical, research, and teaching skills. We have ACGME accredited fellowship programs including: Adolescent Medicine, Critical Care, Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Hematol

ogy/Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Neonatology, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Neurology and Emergency Medicine. Golisano Children’s Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) is the area’s only children’s hospital, serving as the referral center for all seriously ill or injured children from the 17-county Finger Lakes region. The children’s hospital, a division of URMC and located within Strong Memorial Hospital, is committed to treating all children regardless of their family’s ability to pay. The 132-bed children’s hospital is a part of the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions or (NACHRI), a database of over 160 children's hospitals, which offers information about public policy and child health trends. Golisano Children's Hospital is also one of 170 children’s hospitals affiliated with the nation-wide not-for-profit Children's Miracle Network (CMN). 100 percent of all locally-made donations to CMN work locally. Congratulations to our Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics fellowship program director, Dr. Abby Kroening, on being inducted into the inaugural class of the URMC’s Academy of Educators!

The university has launched the Academy as a joint effort between the School of Medicine & Dentistry, School of Nursing, and Eastman Institute for Oral Health, and is a member of Academies Collaborative, which is a professional organization to share best practices and resources for academies around the world.
