We wrapped up another 6 weeks of Saturday learning this past weekend. This spring, our students gained an additional 18 hours of learning time through Saturday programming. To put that into perspective, in combination with our Fall saturdays, that is the equivalent of 36 hours or an entire extra week of school.
Research consistently shows that expanded learning opportunities help students strengthen academic skills, build confidence, improve attendance habits, and increase long-term educational success.
Just as importantly, these extra hours provide students with enriching experiences, caring adult relationships, and opportunities to discover new passions and talents in a joyful learning environment.
We loved watching our students grow and learn this Spring, and can't wait to see them back next month for the start of our 32nd summer of academic enrichment programming!

This Saturday at Horizons at Harley was full of creativity and hands-on learning!
Our Messy Scientists made colorful window clings while exploring chemical reactions, and students dove into Harley’s Maker’s Edge demonstrations - sparking curiosity and creativity through STEAM. We wrapped up the day with time in the pool, always a favorite!
We’re so proud of the growth we’re seeing each week.

Saturday was a hands-on, minds-on kind of day at Horizons at Harley! 🤖✨
Our middle schoolers designed their own mazes and then put their problem-solving skills to the test by coding robots to navigate through them—talk about creativity and perseverance in action. Meanwhile, our younger students stepped up to a new challenge, using Blockly to code their robots instead of relying on the Wonder app… and they rose to the occasion!
We even had a group explore adding the launcher attachment to try and shoot balls—because why not take it to the next level? 🚀
Learning, experimenting, and having fun every step of the way—that’s what it’s all about. 💙

This past Saturday was full of something truly special… joyful learning in action.
Our middle schoolers were fully engaged in Robotics & Coding and Messy Science - problem-solving, experimenting, and working together with focus and enthusiasm. And if you know middle schoolers, you know just how meaningful that kind of engagement really is.
What stood out most? The smiles. 😊
The laughter after a successful robot run, the pride in an experiment (even when it didn’t go as planned), and the energy they brought to every moment reminded us why this work matters so much.
At Horizons at Harley, we believe that joy in learning is essential. When students experience joy - especially in STEAM - it builds confidence, strengthens critical thinking, and creates a lifelong love of learning.
We are so proud of our students and so grateful for the educators who make this possible each week. We can’t wait to see what they discover next.

We loved being back together this weekend for the start of our Spring Saturdays 💙
40 of our Horizons at Harley students joined us to reconnect, build community, and dive into hands-on STEAM learning. This session, students are exploring Cardboard Engineering, Robotics & Coding, and Messy Science—building skills in problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
We were also back in the pool (one of our favorite places!), practicing swimming skills that support safety, confidence, and overall well-being.
We wrapped up the day with a delicious lunch and lots of smiles. We can’t wait to do it all again next Saturday!
