C2C's Annual Education Summit is a day that centers around learning and collaboration. There will be four different sessions where you get to choose which topics you want to learn about, as well as a panel discussion with many community leaders. We hope that all of you can make it. Registration is free, but there are only 250 spots available so act fast! If you do not register we cannot guarantee you a spot in your chosen presentations or a provided lunch. Our Annual Education Summit is a place where our local, regional, state, and national partners convene to collaborate and learn from each other in order to transform the way partners work together. The summit will have four sessions, consisting of multiple presentations in each session. Topic areas of the presentations vary, but C2C will be well represented with presentations on our networks, Parent Council, as well as a general overview of all our work . We are so excited for everyone to join us, but we ask that those attending to please register even though it is a free event. Registration is on our website.

The theme for the 2026 Annual Education Summit is "Instruments of Change: How We All Play a Part." What this means to C2C is that in order to achieve our goal of improving educational outcomes for every child in Rochester, there are many parts to play. No one can do this alone. That's why we strive to transform the way we all work together, in order to make that goal happen. It's a lot like the symphony, you can't play Beethoven if only the strings are showing up. We need the horns, woodwinds, and percussion to play their parts. That's all of YOU! That's why we're hosting the Annual Education Summit, to bring all the pieces of the band together to learn and collaborate for a better tomorrow for Rochester's youth. Please join us in welcoming our newest AmeriCorps Groundwork Fellow, Will Woodford! Born and raised in Rochester, Will graduated from John Marshall HS before attending Augsburg University to play basketball and study communications, and is now serving Cradle 2 Career as an AmeriCorps Groundwork Fellow. Before joining Cradle 2 Career, Will worked at nVent Electric as an internal communications assistant using his wealth of media knowledge in order to support employee communications. He hopes to bring those same skills to C2C in order to share more about C2C’s past, present, and future. In his free time, Will is a huge fan of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Vikings, enjoys playing golf with his dad, and loves to watch How I Met Your Mother. Will says, "this is an incredible opportunity for me to serve my community as well as to further hone my skills."

We are so thrilled to welcome our high school intern, Asanti, to C2C! We will have her supporting us from September-November 2026. Asanti has skills in communication and teamwork, and through this internship she hopes to bolster those skills as she plans on going to cosmetology school and obtaining her cosmetology license. Asanti says, “I’m feeling confident about this year and I’m excited to help out C2C.”

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11th, 2001, we pause to solemnly remember all those who lost their lives and also their families whose lives were forever changed. We are also incredibly grateful to the first responders who risked everything to keep everyone safe.
