Current Projects:
TASTE, SMELL, AND FEEDING BEHAVIOR IN AUTISM- The purpose of this study is to evaluate taste, smell, and food preferences in individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their family members, and in individuals with typical development. More specifically, we will evaluate sensory functions, including taste and smell, and investigate how these functions are related to everyday behaviors like food preferences and eating habits. Additionally, we will examine how these processes and preferences are shared within families, and will examine the link between these sensory traits and genes that may be important in their functioning.
EFFERENT FEEDBACK AND HEARING-IN NOISE PERCEPTION- This study examines how people hear in the presence of different
background noises and how functions within the inner ear respond to noise. During your session you will be asked to fill out some questionnaires regarding your behavioral and developmental background, take a short music aptitude test, and complete a number of listening activities.
