AASO Oakland University

AASO Oakland University Albanian - Americans of Oakland University doing great things! but also in Canada and Australia.

AASO is a student based organization that initiated at Wayne State University in Michigan back in 1998. The main objective of the organization was to promote fellowship among the Albanian students around campus, as well as to promote the Albanian language and culture. Seeing the success this idea had among the Albanian students at Wayne State University, other Albanian students at 4 other univers

ities in Michigan decided to start their own chapters of AASO at their own college campuses. The dedication of our members has allowed us to be able to provide scholarships and other assistance to deserving Albanian students who seek a higher education since 1999 when we founded the Gjergj Kastrioti Scholarship fund. Today there are many successful active chapters of AASO not only in the US (Texas, Connecticut, Pennsylvania,etc.)
