Today is June 10th, which makes it #GetOutdoorsDay! 🌲🌞 Over Memorial Day weekend, Joseph C. Wilson Magnet High School and Franklin Campus outdoor club students went on an adventure to Camp Pathfinder in Algonquin Park, Canada. The Jr Outdoor Club is headed to Skate Luvers Palace on Thursday, April 11th. Permission slips and money are due ASAP.

The WFA Junior OC spent the afternoon slippin and slidin in the sunshine ⛸ Just look at those faces! 😄 Hard to tell who had more fun, the kids or the advisors!

Our first overnight with the Junior Outdoor Club was a hit. 🐾 We hiked, played games, made caramel 🍎 apples, had a great campfire, played in the rain and stayed up way too late! It’s safe to say everyone had a great time and they’re requesting another trip👍🏼

Part 2:
The weather was perfect for hiking; the breeze was warm and the sky cleared for us. We stopped at, what is left of, the Genesee County poor house cemetery and paid our respects. Then on to Turtle Pond and back to the Center for lunch.

Part 1:
The Jr OC took to the trails this morning in Genesee County. We didn’t let some sprinkles dampen our spirits! We spent sometime in their Education Center; their exhibits were worth the trip in the rain. Our kids loved every bit of it (although they weren’t all thrilled with the idea of taxidermy)

Prepping for the first Junior OC trip of the year! We’re headed to Genesee County Park for some outdoor fun 🍂🐾🍁
