Franklin Flyers – Fueling Up for Step into Learning!

Teachers, we’re ready for takeoff!

Your Franklin PTSA is stocking the staff refrigerator with drinks on Monday, for you to enjoy both Monday and Tuesday to help keep our Franklin Flyers staff fueled and ready for Step into Learning. We’ll also have Franklin spirit wear from previous years available for any teacher or staff member who would like one, available while supplies last!

Planting Roots On The Runway

On May 26, 1971, the very first tree was planted at Franklin Elementary.

Since the school was built on the grounds of the former Rochester airport, there were initially no trees on-site. After finishing a unit on conservation and ecology, two fifth-grade classes decided to change that. They pooled their money to buy a flowering crabapple tree and planted it themselves.

Fifty-five years later, that spirit of conservation is still going strong! Franklin Flyers PTSA is committed to maintaining our green spaces. The shade from our schoolyard trees provides a vital escape from the heat during the hottest days of the year.

Join the Summer Garden Club!
Franklin Elementary needs your family's help to keep our trees and plants thriving during the summer months. Volunteer for a week to help water and care for our school grounds. It’s a great way to give back as a family and keep Franklin beautiful.

Welcome Summer event was a blast! Thanks to all Franklin staff who made this event possible and to all our families who joined us!
The Franklin PTSA and Montessori PTA partnered to sponsor the Red Barn mobile petting zoo!
The BOGO Scholastic book fair was also a hit!

✈️ Franklin Flyers Teacher Appreciation Week: Mission Accomplished! ✈️💜
Enjoy some photos of an incredible week celebrating our amazing staff! From our maintenance crew and office team to paras, teachers, support staff, and everyone who keeps our school soaring — thank you for all you do every single day. You make Franklin Elementary truly special, and we are so grateful! ❤️
• Monday: Everyone grabbed their custom purple (our school color!) Franklin Flyers tumblers with the school logo and personal last name — now you can “tumbler” through the rest of year in style!
• Wednesday: The Taco Truck rolled up outside and fueled the crew with tasty lunches.
• Friday: We wrapped things up sweetly with Flapdoodles Ice Cream treats for all staff members!
And the cherry on top — we were thrilled to bless our outstanding Principal and Assistant Principal with custom Franklin shirts and gift cards to their favorite restaurants. They truly lead our Flyers with excellence!
Thank you for letting us spoil you just a little — you deserve it and so much more. Clear skies ahead and tailwinds always! 🛫
