Recognition, research, and global reach for URochester students and alumni This year's URochester student and alumni award recipients are pursuing research, entrepreneurship, and community-based work around the globe.

The Student Fellowships Office, which supports US students applying for Fulbright awards to spend a year abroad, is excited to meet you all in the fall!

If you're thinking about grad school in STEM or social science, we want you to think about the NSF GRFP. We are thrilled to announce that alumna Claire Wilcox-Black ('26 Classics/Philosophy) has been offered a Judicial Fellowship through the California Capital Fellows Program. Congratulations, Claire! (And congratulations on your graduation as well!)

An exciting first for the University of Rochester: this is the first year when we have TWO Community Health Fellows participating in Project Horseshoe Farm! Congratulations to senior Ruby Moore (Biology), who will be serving in Perry County Alabama.

A special shout out to the Urban Fellows Program--both 2026 Project Horseshoe Farm Fellows from URochester were Urban Fellows!

Calling all rising seniors, current seniors, and alumni--are you interested in a year in China? Schwarzman Scholars supports up to 200 Scholars annually from the U.S., China, and around the world for a one-year master’s in global affairs at Beijing’s Tsinghua University. On May 13 at 1pm, the Schwarzman Scholars admissions team is hosting an on-line info session. To register, visit schwarzmanscholars.org and open the "Admissions" tab.

Congratulations to senior Ella French (American Sign Language and Health, Behavior, and Society). For the past year, she has been a Newman Civic Fellow. The Newman Civic Fellowship is a year-long program that recognizes and supports student public problem solvers, creating a network of connected and engaged student leaders who can support one another in making positive change.
