Tau Beta Pi is the oldest engineering honor society and the second oldest collegiate honor society, established in 1885 at Lehigh University. The University of Rochester is home to the New York Kappa Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, which was officially recognized in 1947. Our chapter strives to recognize students in the Hajim School of Engineering and Applied Sciences for academic achievement and exemplar
