When it comes to emergency medical care, saving seconds and improving stability can change everything. At Imagine RIT, the university's massive annual festival of innovation and creativity, recent fifth-year biomedical engineering grad Praneetra Sambaraju showcased a completely redesigned Emergency Cervical Stabilization Device. Developed through the Multidisciplinary Senior Design program, the innovative cervical collar was put to the test by festival visitors, including experienced first responders who gave the improved design and usability a major thumbs-up.
