Day 1 Washington State Fair headed into our first show ring of the week feeling confident

...and in a flash, it's haul out day, and Rochester went home with a slew of ribbons. On day 2 .pratt7 started us off for the day in the steer show and Hank did not maim anyone, which was the biggest success of the whole fair. Then in the dairy goat show took grand champion novice showman, with as reserve champion. Kenna took reserve champion senior showman. Sidney's doe Daphne took champion junior doe, and .beck07 and Maple Syrup were awarded reserve champion junior doe. Champion Senior doe went to , and reserve to Sidney and Miss S. Then Sidney&S won again in the dam&daughter class. Katie Thompson brought home the blues in the Boer goat show, then again in showmanship with her lamb. Then .pratt7 earned herself grand champion junior showman with her lamb. finished us up for the night as grand champion junior rabbit showman. For those of you following along at home, that is three grand champion showman from Rochester in one day. Day 3 brought the pig show where took reserve champion novice hog showman and first place intermediate weight market hog. Saturday morning rounds out his growing pile of trophies by placing grand champion senior showman in both turkey AND chicken showmanship, fired up the bbq and got us all fed, we sang happy birthday to Mrs. Rose, then Myrranda, Kenna, Katie, and Conner all auctioned their animals . This morning it was a pleasure to have THREE Rochester FFA students earn a place in the round robin champion showman competition. You kids are amazing, you worked your butts off, and your advisors are so proud of you.

Fair day 1 is a wrap! Conner started us off with a big win in the rabbit barn today. Tomorrow brings steers, goats, lambs, and more rabbits. See you at the fair!

Happy Saturday everyone! Come on in for day 3 of the plant sale. Today we have students selling fruit cups and baked snacks in our sae fair, and our state team is selling Krispy Kreme donuts. We still have some excellent hanging baskets, lots of tomatoes and other veggies, and an assortment of bedding plants, plus snacks! See you in the greenhouse!

Come get your spring garden started AND support our students by grabbing a snack! The plant sale can take cards as always but the student sae projects are cash only so grab some change on your way.

Congrats on a job well done at sub-districts this year, Rochester! 3 students moving on to districts in 4 contests. Pretty solid showing. Nice work.
