We welcomed our Ph.D. in Nursing students to campus for an inspiring week of learning, connection, collaboration, and community during Ph.D. Immersion Week.

Immersion Week is an opportunity for our doctoral students to come together with faculty, build meaningful connections with their peers, and deepen their knowledge as they prepare to advance the future of nursing through research and scholarship.

We loved seeing our students engaged in thoughtful conversations, sharing ideas, learning from one another, and connecting with the faculty who support them throughout their doctoral journey.

The School of Nursing is pleased to announce that Julie A. Kruse, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, has been named Interim Dean. A nationally recognized nursing leader, educator and researcher, Dr. Kruse brings more than 30 years of nursing experience and nearly a decade of dedicated service to OU. She has led federally funded initiatives to strengthen and diversify the nursing workforce, advanced nursing education through innovative curriculum development, and championed student success. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Kruse on her new leadership role.
