The RHS Alumni Banquet Committee has made the difficult decision to no longer have a formal yearly gathering. The last Alumni Banquet was in June 2019. There wasn't a banquet in 2020 or 2021 due to Covid.
The Committee, comprised of Jill Jesso-White ('85), Kelly Kelly ('83) and Juli Reiderer ('89), made this decision based on several factors including low attendance, increasing postal rates and lack of a senior class to pull in students and their parents.
While there will no longer be a banquet, the long standing RHS Scholarship Fund program continues. After Rochester High School closed in 2018, the Alumni Association voted to have the scholarship program offering low interest loans continue. Any student living in Granville, Hancock or Rochester at the time of graduation from any high school is eligible for a low interest loan. For more information on this program, contact Eva Jesso ('61) at 802-767-4442.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, and the uncertainty of when it will be safe to gather again, we have unfortunately made the tough decision to cancel the Alumni Banquet scheduled for June 5, 2021.

Please remember that the Rochester Alumni Scholarship Fund continues to offer low-interest loans to any graduate of RHS and also to any new graduates that attended other schools but reside in the towns of Rochester, Hancock or Granville. Due to the threat of COVID-19, the Alumni Association Committee has made the decision to cancel this year's Rochester High School Alumni Banquet scheduled for June 6. It was a hard decision to make, but we felt it was best to ensure everyone's safety.

We wanted to offer you a way to stay connected during this year off. Please send us an email or a letter with memories of your days at Rochester High School. We'll read them at next year's banquet and hand them out in a booklet. You can mail your memories to Eva Jesso, 57 Taylor Brook Road, Hancock, VT 05748 or email them to [email protected].

Please remember that the Rochester Alumni Scholarship Fund continues to offer loans to any graduates of Rochester High School or graduates residing in the towns of Rochester, Hancock or Granville. Contact Eva Jesso at 767-4442 if you'd like more information.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved former RHS principal and teacher, Bob Leister. May he Rest In Peace. ❤️

Bob Leister aged 90, died on November 26, 2019 at the Jack Byrne Center of Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Bob had suffered a prolonged illness but died peacefully with family beside him. He will be remembered as an eternal optimist, a teacher, a mentor, a friend, a leader, and a
