Career Pathways to Public Safety

Today, we had a motivational speech from Mr. Rodney Brown, Author and Newspaper Owner. He share his "Supervison"Speech, empowering students to be in tuned with their own inner supervisor to "Do the Right Thing."
He drawed from Martin Luther Kings philosophy of "love your neighbor" and the "Good Samaritan Parable." The Good Samaritan parable is the basis for first responders conduct and heart.

Friday's is CPPS drills, today they worked on CPR&AED skills and continued working on Ropes and Knots.

Today, CPPS worked on their ropes and knots skills with the assistance of the Rochester Fire Department.

Mentor Public Schools, the Mentor Fire Department and Lakeland Community College have partnered to give high school students hands-on EMS training, college credit and a path to EMT certification before graduation.

Today, is the last day of the 24-25 CPPS Cohort Intro to PS and EMT class, 10th and 11th graders.

Rochester Police Department brought the K-9 unit by this week. Students learning what Remi the K-9 is up to in his role as officer.
