RIT Aero Design Club

The RIT Aero Design Club is located in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering and we have our own lab located next to the machine shop & RIT Formula.

During the year the club meets every Saturday at 11:00am in the lab. The RIT Aero Design club works on designing and building from scratch RC-model airplanes. The club is open to all students from any major. Aero Design Club helps enhance members' craftsmanship, understanding of basic aerodynamics and aircraft design. Members are also given the opportunity to learn how to fly RC planes.

This morning our resident Private Pilot took the winners of last semester's attendance raffle up for a flight in a Cessna 172M, and they managed to get some great photos of themselves and the snow-covered RIT campus! Peter says he's looking forward to this semester's winners' flight.
