Our 15th school year is coming to an end and I hope for fifteen more. We have been at two locations and worked with two dozen German teachers over the years, coming from Hungary, Romania, Switzerland, Germany, of course, the former Yugoslavia, and different parts of the US. All of them have been speaking German on a native speaker level. They each had their own unique way of teaching, which proved that there is not a single right way, but many valid methods. There are different teaching methods and there are endless reasons for learning German: you may want to connect with Germans because you admire German engineering but German "Gemütlichkeit" is just as good a reason or finally getting to know your transatlantic relatives! Please spread the word in order to make the next 15 years as exciting and fulfilling for the entire Rochester German School community as the last!
