We're showcasing one of the many historical scales we have here in our object collection at History of Medicine. These scales and weights were used by apothecaries and pharmacists to precisely measure medicine and ingredients.

The life cycle of a Read-A-Thon...
From delivering books & educational info, to encouraging families & staff to read, and some excitement sprinkled in with drawing raffle tickets and gifting prize baskets...the NICU Read-A-Thon has supported our littlest patients with 600 reading sessions so far! 🥰👏📚

Come join the Libraries Data Services Team for Data Bloom 2026, a Fall workshop series focused on data visualization. Free and open to the public, this series has numerous virtual webinars covering an array of topics, including accessible viz, RStudio, Tableau, Python, Excel, Quarto, visualizing qualitative data with FigJam, and building Web Maps with Google Sheets. If you prefer in-person events, then we have you covered too, with a hybrid XR data visualization workshop at Studio X and an in-person Open House at the VISTA Collaboratory.

It's a great day here in the Mucci Family Resource Library - NICU Read-A-Thon kick-off! 🥰📚👶🏽
Today starts our annual 11-day reading event, which is a friendly competition between other NICU's world-wide!
The Read-A-Thon is sponsored by Babies with Books, whose goal is to provide education about the benefits of reading to NICU patients.
We are ready to go with books, info and reading tickets for our families and staff 👏
