Yes, we know November seems like an eternity away about now, but the Cornell Club of Rochester is excited to announce that renowned architectural designer and faculty member Jenny Sabin has agreed to be our guest speaker at the 88th Annual Cornell-Penn Thanksgiving Luncheon. The event continues to be a longstanding tradition with the Penn Club of Rochester, one which spans an incredible nine decades – and counting.

Professor Sabin is the Inaugural Chair of the Department of Design Tech as the Arthur L. and Isabel B. Wiesenberger Professor in Architecture, a principal of Jenny Sabin Studio (an experimental architectural design studio based in Ithaca) and the director of the Sabin Lab within Cornell’s College of Architecture, Art and Planning. An award-winning endowed professor and artist who earned her Master’s in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, Professor Sabin has ties to both universities, making her a most compelling speaker for our alumni communities.

She works at the frontier of “generative design,” an innovative practice that treats architecture as a living and breathing entity, bridging the gap between science and design. Her immersive sculpture combines biology with experimental materials and responds to the surrounding environment by changing colors, spraying water mists or emitting light in the presence of spectators.
Jenny Sabin’s work is simply breathtaking. Don’t miss this event!
