On this day in Fisher history: Today marks the 75th anniversary of the first day of classes at Fisher, September 19, 1951.

Fisher was founded in 1948, and the next three years were a flurry of construction, hiring, and recruiting, all leading up to the momentous First Day of Classes. There aren't many photos of this day, but we love this one from the Rochester Times-Union newspaper with the caption: "IVY TO COME: Students parade past incompleted buildings on opening day of St. John Fisher College."

We're not certain where this location is, but we believe it's the east side of Kearney Hall, taken looking north. The second photo was taken from near the Hermance Family Chapel of St. Basil the Great.

On Team Tuesday we're featuring some of the team planning Alumni Weekend: Amy, Piper, Katy, Paige, Molly, and Taylor. They also happen to be very good golf cart shuttle drivers, so if you see them buzzing through campus this weekend, catch a ride.
