Have you heard of the Sustainability Office’s Share-a-Shoe Program? Here’s what goes down behind the scenes of the “Shoe Donation” boxes you may have seen in the GAC locker rooms.

That’s a wrap on this year’s Shred Fest! ♻️♻️♻️ A huge thank you to our volunteers who kept up the energy and hard work. This event was also made possible by the Bloch Alumni and Advancement Center for allowing us to use their parking space, and Facilities and Grounds for keeping our area clean. Iron Mountain continues to extend a partnership, ensuring a successful event that we are always grateful for! Take a look at some highlights from the event this year!!

And this concludes our 2026 Eyeglass Collection event! This event would not be possible without the generosity and, not to mention, the creativity that those who participated brought forward.

We would also like to thank Mike Donner of the Lions Club of Chili, who will distribute the glasses to InterVol for reuse around the world. Glasses not suitable for reuse will be sent to ReSpecs for recycling. Keep your eyes peeled on 8/5 for a news article from that will feature the collection results and fun stories regarding this event!
