Whether it’s investing in community schools, increasing foundation aid, or fighting to (the list goes on!) these folks are advocating for the things our schools and communities deserve. Great work at Perry! Jeff Hopkins is the LRS. He and the team developed a great solution to a common concern.

Want to learn how one local secured new maternity leave provisions in their latest contract? For Perry educators, running out of sick time was a significant problem particularly for mothers and that was one of the major reasons for contract language establishing 40 days of paid maternity leave from the district that is not to be deducted from accumulated sick leave. The new contract places Perry among a growing number of locals to secure paid parental leave at the bargaining table.
