Yesterday was an exciting day for this group of young men! Accompanied by Principal Serafine, a group of students attended a leadership seminar at the Golisano Institute for Business and Entrepreneurship in Buffalo.

Attendees heard from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell as part of the Golisano Institute’s “Speaking from Experience” series.

There was also a special appearance from none other than Keegan Michael Key! 😎

Grateful for the opportunity to hear first-hand about leadership, business, and hard work! Thank you to the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship and Mr. Serafine for this opportunity!

McQuaid Jesuit teacher Chris Hood and his brother, Franciscan Father Jason Hood, turned the latter's trip home from Italy this past summer into a pilgrimage of sorts by mixing a variety of spiritual visits with fun activities, such as visiting Buffalo's Our Lady of Victory Basilica and stopping for chicken wings on the same day.

Yesterday, September 17, McQuaid Jesuit was honored to induct four individuals and two teams into the 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame.

It was a wonderful night of celebrating community, hard work, and what it means to be men for and with others.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday as McQuaid Jesuit formally dedicated 10 Sentinels in honor of our 10 fallen alumni who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. 💛🖤

We were honored to welcome several Gold Star families of our fallen alumni, Sgt. First Class Sammy L. Davis, U.S. Army (Ret.), Medal of Honor recipient, Mayor Malik Evans, and other local dignitaries, veterans, and active-duty military personnel.

The Sentinels will remain illuminated 24/7 as a constant reminder of the McQuaid alumni who gave everything in service to our country.

The Veterans Memorial was made possible through the generosity of The DiMarco Group, Fabwell Studios, John Snyder and the Class of 1967, and many other donors and supporters who helped bring this tribute to life.

Yesterday evening, McQuaid Jesuit welcomed our newest Knights and their families to the 6th Grade Meet & Greet!

Families had the opportunity to meet Middle School Principal Mrs. Dacey, P ’99, ’05, ’08, Middle School Dean of Students Mr. Dugan, ’08, President Steve Salluzzo, ’90, P ’18, and several other middle school teachers and staff.

Today, the flag overlooking Tom Seymour Field at McQuaid Jesuit was flown over the U.S. Capitol this Spring in honor of Brandon Buchanan, '95 who lost his life in the World Trade Center 25 years ago today.

We remember all who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
