We are so proud to celebrate our 23 newest graduates! A special shout-out to the 8 graduates who joined us in person this past weekend, it was an absolute privilege to celebrate your hard work and watch you grow into the capable legal professionals you are today.

This year is especially meaningful as Oakland University's ABA-approved Paralegal Program celebrates its 50th Jubilee Anniversary. Established in 1976 as the first of its kind in Michigan, we are honored to add this exceptional cohort to our 50-year legacy of excellence.

For 50 years, OU’s ABA‑approved Paralegal Certificate Program has prepared nearly 1,700 graduates for Michigan’s legal field.

One of them is Jennifer Fisher, who discovered her interest in litigation through YouTube trial breakdowns, returned to OU for her certificate, balanced school and work as a single parent, and landed a paralegal job before graduating. Her success reflects the strength of OU’s legacy and the future of the legal profession.

Meet Izzy Pratt, PACE Business Manager at OU!

In her role, Izzy supports PACE across a diverse range of financial and operational functions including reconciliations, proformas, budgets, contracts and project coordination. She serves as a liaison between PACE and university stakeholders, corporate partners, faculty, and community partners, and helps ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of PACE.
