Yesterday Buffalo Niagara International Airport Fire Department traveled to the PSTF to complete parts of their annual live burn training with their crews and command staff.
Henrietta Fire District has also been completing in service training with their crews which involved car fire and propane fire evolutions.
A huge shoutout and thanks to Rick and Dave who continuously work to keep our props working every day while we have crews on site training!

This past Friday was yet another busy day on the fire training grounds at the PSTF.
Numerous HOT classes were taking place as part of the 2026 STEP Conference with instructors from Vigilant Fire Training, Barnard and Gates Fire Districts. These included man in machine, stand pipe operations, elevator rescue and search operations.
The Veteran Affairs Fire Department from Bath and Canandaigua were on site all day as well. They completed evolutions on the car fire prop and worked in the structural fire trainer with their newer firefighters.
In the midst of all the training a small group of high school seniors toured the PSTF and we were able to give them a demonstration with the ARFF truck and an aircraft simulated emergency.

On Thursday, we had a busy day on the training grounds at Public Safety Training Facility! 🚒🔥
We were proud to welcome multiple agencies for hands-on training throughout the day:
• Rochester Fire Department recruits continued their training in hose line operations, hydrant work, and engine operations.
• Niagara Falls Fire Department traveled to the PSTF to complete their annual ARFF required burn training.
• With support from instructors from the Monroe County Fire Bureau, students in the Greece Central School District Responding to Emergencies program participated in a variety of training scenarios, including ventilation and roof work, hose line advancement, and ladder operations.
Thank you to everyone involved for their dedication to training and public safety!
