On Thursday January 30th, the Office of Minority Student Affairs and the Office of the President are thrilled to welcome Giancarlo Esposito to deliver the 2025 MLK Jr. Commemorative Address. Norman Burnett retires after 45 years in higher education. Serving for 29 years as Assistant Dean of the College, Director of the Higher Education Opportunity Program, and Director of the Office of Minority Student Affairs at the University of Rochester, is a momentous accomplishment. His unwavering commitment to his students and colleagues has been a shining example of excellence in academia. His selflessness and dedication to education have left an indelible mark on the University of Rochester community. His absence will be felt for years to come, but his legacy will continue to inspire future generations of students and faculty. We wish him all the best in his retirement and thank him for his many years of service.
