Earlier this month we caught these Florence Brasser Elementary School Flag Guardians putting away the flag before dismissal. Flag Guardians are responsible for raising, lowering and folding the flag each school day.

We debuted these news friends today at the Fifth-Grade Track and Field Meet. Keep an eye out during elementary dismissal today, you may just spot one of our new friends. π

Students from across our elementary and middle schools demonstrated determination, sportsmanship and positivity while competing in a variety of events. We are so proud of our athletes and grateful to the staff, volunteers and families who helped make the day such a success.

Originally established to commemorate the events of June 1969 that helped advance the movement for equal rights, Pride Month is also an opportunity to celebrate diversity and the importance of belonging.
