Gates Chili Central School District is closed today, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

This holiday commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience and progress. As we reflect on the significance of this day, we want to reaffirm our commitment to creating a community where everyone feels they belong.

Earlier this month we caught these Florence Brasser Elementary School Flag Guardians putting away the flag before dismissal. Flag Guardians are responsible for raising, lowering and folding the flag each school day.

Today our elementary English as a new language (ENL) classes came together for a field day at Black Creek Park.

These Bears, Dragons, Panthers and Stars interacted and competed in a fun day of events under the sun. ☀️

MEET OUR GREAT CREW: In the Gates Chili Athletics Department, administrative assistant Sandra Blackburn keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From supporting coaches and student-athletes to helping families navigate the many details of school sports, Sandra is a dependable and welcoming resource for our athletic community. Her organization and communication help create positive experiences for students both on and off the field. Thank you for all that you do, Sandra!

We are so excited to unveil our official elementary school mascots! Meet our Armstrong Star, Disney Dragon, Paul Road Panther and Brasser Bear!

We debuted these news friends today at the Fifth-Grade Track and Field Meet. Keep an eye out during elementary dismissal today, you may just spot one of our new friends. 😉

Our Spartans shined last week at the Special Olympics held at SUNY Brockport! 🏅💙

Students from across our elementary and middle schools demonstrated determination, sportsmanship and positivity while competing in a variety of events. We are so proud of our athletes and grateful to the staff, volunteers and families who helped make the day such a success.
