☕🚀 RIS TEACHERS ARE TAKING OVER MOCKINGBIRD BAKERY! 🚀☕

Mark your calendars! On Saturday, October 17, from 9:00–11:00 AM, some familiar RIS faces will be trading in their teacher hats for aprons and serving as Celebrity Baristas at Mockingbird Bakery! ☕🌟

Stop by, grab your favorite Saturday morning treat, and say hello! All tips earned during the event will go directly toward supporting our RISE Store and rewarding our Rockets for demonstrating Responsibility, Inclusion, Safety, and Empathy.

Throughout September, our Rockets have been working hard to demonstrate our hallway expectations: walking, using quiet voices, staying to the right, and heading directly to their destination.

🎉 A BIG congratulations to Mr. Clark's class for demonstrating these expectations most often in September!🎉

As a surprise for their hard work, the class earned an extra recess yesterday! 🛝☀️

Look at our Rockets RISE!

From working hard in the classroom to showing Responsibility, Inclusion, Safety, and Empathy throughout our school, our students have already earned over 31,000 RISE tickets!

Excitement is growing for our first RISE Store shopping week, which is quickly approaching!

Want to help us keep the store stocked? We welcome donations of small toys, fidgets, fun school supplies, and other school-appropriate prizes. Donations can be dropped off at the RIS Main Office.

Another way to shop is from our Amazon wish list, which reflects current replenishment needs:

Food and drink items purchased from the RISE Store will be sent home with students and may not be consumed at school.

We are SO proud of the way our Rockets continue to RISE! 🚀🧡💙

Dear Rochester Rocket Families,

We want to reach out to address questions and concerns regarding the bus stop locations currently listed in Skyward.

Please note that our team is actively reviewing and making necessary adjustments. All amended bus information will be updated and accurate in Skyward by Friday morning. This will give ample time to be ready for Tuesday's launch of new afterschool bus procedures.

We sincerely appreciate those of you who have called our office to bring specific routing and stop concerns to our attention. Your feedback is helping us address these issues and ensure a safe, efficient transportation experience for all of our students.

Thank you for your continued patience and partnership as we fine tune our routes for the school year.

Sincerely,

Molly Edmonds

We're excited to welcome our Rocket families to RIS Open House TOMORROW! Come visit classrooms, connect with our staff, and see where all the learning and fun happens.

At our Open House, we're also kicking off our STOCK THE ROCKET RECESS CART!

We're working to build up our indoor recess options with activities that give students opportunties to play, socialize, problem-solve, and connect with their peers when recess has to stay indoors.

Families who would like to help can donate new or gently used:
🎲 Simple board games
🃏 Card games
🧩 Puzzles
♟️ Strategy games
🧱 Building activities
🎨 Other fun, screen-free activities appropriate for students in grades 3–6

Carts & tables will be available in the main lobby during Open House for donations.

Want to donate but can't bring something to Open House? No problem! You can also send donations to school with your child or drop them off at the main office.

Thank you for helping us create more opportunties for Rockets to play, connect, and build friendships!

We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow evening🚀
