It’s the last day of school for OACES! 🥹 On Tuesday we celebrated our students, staff, and community partners at the beach. We are SO proud of everyone for all their accomplishments over the last year, which has been so difficult for many of us. Pictures from our field trip to the Erie Canal a few weeks ago! Students and staff had the opportunity to ride the Sam Patch, a replica of a historical boat named after a famous local figure. We rode through two different locks on the canal and learned all about how they work! Thanks to Rochester By Water for this awesome and educational adventure!

On Monday, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the grand opening of the newly renovated Maplewood Community Library! This library is one of our Literacy Zone Welcome Centers and a key community partner of OACES. We are so proud of the Maplewood staff for all the hard work they’ve put in to make these renovations happen, and we heard from local politicians about all the work it took to accomplish this vision. Congratulations, Maplewood Library! Visit them and check out the new space!
