The Psychosocial Cancer Studies end in four days. If you are over 40 and in treatment for cancer, OR over 40 with no cancer history ("control group"), check out these online surveys and share with your friends:

Do you know anyone over 40 who has NO cancer history? Ask them to participate in the "control group" of our online study on beliefs about emotional adjustment to cancer. Recruitment is slow this month, so they've got a better-than-usual shot at the $100 lottery. We used some initial findings from our online studies to support a grant proposal we submitted today to the American Cancer Society; if they like our research, they will help support follow-up studies aimed at improving quality of life in cancer by understanding how people adjust emotionally to their illness.

Thank you everyone who has completed one of our online studies of psychology and health. Please share the link to our main web site (http://psychrochester.com/) with friends and family. Apologies for the lack of updates - we were working around the clock to meet yesterday's deadline for a grant application to the National Cancer Institute. The grant is designed to facilitate decision making about cancer treatments and improve quality of life for individuals with cancer. It builds, in part, off of the pilot research from these online studies.
