Some new to Xcentrics equipment. A little leg work from some non- mentor Xerox employees saved a

from making it to the scrap heap. Recycling would yield $20... for the team, it's a fantastic upgrade to some key shop tools.

Thanks to Xerox and its generous, caring employees.

Mounting the acquisition arms to the elevator and making a few adjustments. The watchful eye of a future FIRST Robotics superstar. With both of her parents FIRST alum coming back as mentors it's embedded in her genome.

Assembling the new ultra light acquisition arms. We saved about half the weight by replacing 0.125" aluminum with Lexan. A few cuts, holes for bearings and some bends for stiffening and they are nearly ready. We also turned the ends of the shafts to recess in the bearings so we could eliminate couplings on the ends.

Milling components for a custom gearbox to run both acquisition arms with a single motor.
