This weekend, URochester alumni and friends came together at Union Rescue Mission's Angeles House in Los Angeles for our Global Day of Service. Together, volunteers prepared and served meals while giving back to the local community. π
A special thank you to Evans Lam '83, '84S (MBA) for his generous $5,000 donation and to our Los Angeles Network Leadership Council for hosting this meaningful event.

πΆ Did you know the University of Rochester's iconic River Campus tunnels were almost never expected to become... well, iconic?
This January 1928 photo captures the cross-quad tunnel under construction. But during planning for the new campus in 1927, committee member Joseph Alling wasn't convinced students would use them:
"Mr. Alling feels that they will be used but very little by students, who in his opinion would prefer to cross the main quadrangle rather than go downstairs and walk through tunnels."
Nearly 100 years later, we'd say that prediction didn't quite pan out. Turns out, generations of students, faculty, and staff have had other plans.
Swipe to see the tunnels thenβand now. πΈ
