Beginning in 1979, the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month of May celebrates the influence that Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans have had on this nation and its history. Inspired by the One Book One World project (http://www.onebookoneworld.org), the Rochester Math Club donated a selection of books to Rochester Public Schools that promotes awareness of Asian American and Pacific Islander culture and history. By donating to all three levels of schooling, students of different age groups will have access to these rich and impactful stories. We hope that these books will enhance the exposure to AAPI narratives and foster unity in our district, while also promoting the voices of AAPI students.

We are excited to begin RMC activities for this school year next Wednesday (10/24)!

We are grateful to our members for their continuous interest in RMC's missions. We have a high return rate from last year's members and a lengthening waiting list. Since priority is given to those two groups, we have unfortunately reached our teaching and space capacity.

If you were not able to attain membership but wish to stay connected, you can contact us through email ([email protected]) to sign up for the waiting list. Non-members can also participate in RMC-events like competitions.

Thank you to all of our supporters, and we look forward to a wonderful year with students and families in the community!
