Our second graders celebrated the end of their elementary journey in the best way possible with their very own Second Grade Celebration! 🚀🎒🫟

Students enjoyed a glow paint party, danced the day away at a silent disco, and had a blast with bounce house fun. It was such a special way to celebrate all of their hard work, friendships, and memories made during their elementary years. 🎧🫟🍧

A huge thank you goes out to our incredible parent volunteers and PTO for helping make the first ever Second Grade Celebration such a success. 🧡💙

🎢 Best. Day. Ever 🎢

Third grade students celebrated the end of their time at Rochester Elementary School with a visit to Malibu Jacks for this year's Third Grade Celebration! 🚀🎒🌴

The students spent the afternoon riding all the rides and playing all the games. From laser tag to mini-golf, and bumper cars to virtual reality, they did it all! 🎡🏎️⛳️

Today, was a big day for students at RES 2-3. Our second and third graders visited Rochester Intermediate School for "Next Grade Day!" 🎒

Our soon-to-be third and fourth graders had so much fun exploring the building, connecting with new friends, and getting a glimpse into life at Rochester Intermediate School. 🚀

Our amazing teachers partnered with our
RIS staff to plan engaging activities and share what students can expect in the fall. It was a wonderful opportunity to build connections and ease the transition as these students prepare for their next big step. 🤝

RES 2-3 is thrilled to announce that the third annual building-wide Field Day will be held on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026! Second and third grade classes will once again be teamed up for a day of fun, competition, and celebration. In order to make the day a success, we are in need of volunteers.

If you are able to help run an event, please sign up using the link below. Based off of feedback from last year, we are offering a morning session and an afternoon session for volunteers. Feel free to sign up for one or both sessions.

Spring is Spelling Bee Season, and the 2nd and 3rd grade students gave a buzz-worthy performance at the Jr. Spelling Bee! 🐝

The Jr. Spelling Bee started in the classroom, and two student contestants from each homeroom advanced to the final round. Contestants were able to showcase their spelling skills in front of their grade level as well as some very special guests! 💛

After 26 rounds and two days of competition, our 2nd grade champion is Matthew P. and our 3rd grade champion is Maddux B. 🏆

Congratulations to all of the brave spellers who shared their talents and proudly represented our school! 🖤

Last week our third graders visited the Decatur Scovill Zoo for their annual field trip. What a fun-filled day! 🚌🐍🐒

Students were thrilled to experience all the zoo has to offer! They enjoyed snow cones, a train ride, a spin on the carousel, the petting zoo, and of course seeing all of the animals. 🍧🚂🎠

We appreciate all of the parent chaperones that were able to join us! Thank you for making it a memorable experience. 🐆🐫🦅

Thank you to our PTO for helping offset the cost for our families. 🚀
