Rochester camp gives SE Minnesota middle schoolers career edge About 115 middle school students from Southeastern Minnesota will explore seven career pathways during a three-day summer program.

We've had a successful three days of creativity at YAYA!

We want to thank the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council (SEMAC) for their generous support of the Young Authors, Young Artists Conference for students in grades 3–5. Their contribution helped create an engaging and inspiring experience where young learners could explore their creativity, build confidence, and celebrate their talents in writing and the arts.

SSC has partnered with Rapp Strategies to provide our members with high-quality referenda services.

Rapp Strategies is a full-service and communications firm that has extensive experience working with school districts across Minnesota on local referendums. As of April 2026, they have provided communications support for 145 local referendum elections, and been successful 68 percent of the time.

SSC staff members recently spent an afternoon outdoors helping local seniors with yard work through Family Service Rochester. Each year, SSC staff take part in this meaningful effort to support older adults who need a little extra help to remain safely and comfortably in their homes.

Congratulations to all of our Minnesota spellers! These students are finalists from each region, and will be headed to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C.

The Bee will begin on Tuesday, May 26th. A special good luck to Riddhi Patel, from Dakota Middle School (Rochester Public Schools)!
