Hookstown Fair entries will be received on Sunday, Aug 23 from 1-5 pm.
If you’re interested in entering Apiary products that will be received in the orange tile building. 

Heidi Shepler is hosting the bee education exhibit.... c'mon out and talk bees with the fairgoers also in the tile building.😊🐝
One fee of $12 gets you in the gate and includes all rides, entertainment, and grandstands...what a bargain!!!!

We need YOU to help at Big K**b Fair:

Hi Everyone…. We are in the final stretch of needing volunteers. Thank you to everybody that has reached out to volunteer so far for the fair. We are still needing folks for Saturday Sept. 5th, especially on those open spots on the page. We could use some help also at the end of the night for “tear down”. It sounds like a lot but if we have a bunch of hands it will go quick.

BEEK BASH 2026, our clubs summer picnic in the barn at Altymer Park was great!
A special thanks go to Dr James Tew for traveling from Ohio to be our speaker. It was an awesome presentation.
We also had about 50 folks brave the weather to come join in the food, fun and fellowship.
Thank you to all the volunteers that make this work and to the people who donated items for our silent auction and door prizes. Congratulations to all the winners!!
Lets do it again next year!

Important Exhibit Entry Turn-In Update

Please note an important change to exhibit entry turn-in dates for the Big K**b Grange Fair.

All entries will be accepted on Sunday, August 30.

Turn in times on August 30 will be 2:00-4:30 p.m. and again from 5:30-8:00 p.m.

Judging will take place on Monday, August 31.

No entries will be accepted after Sunday, August 30.

Adult entries: Please go to the Bingo Pavilion

Youth Entries: Please go to the basement of the Grange Hall, down the ramp.

Hay and grain entries: Please go to the barns.

Thank you for helping us make this year’s Big K**b Grange Fair a success.

Please share this update with anyone planning to enter exhibits.

Three days packed with education, hands-on workshops, in-hive sessions, an incredible lineup of presenters, 50+ vendors and educators, an official WV Honey Show, youth programming, competitions, giveaways, a benefit dinner, silent auction, free coffee all weekend… and somehow, still more?!

Whether you’re brand new to to the world of beekeeping and pollinators or have been keeping bees for decades, come learn, connect, shop, compete, and have some fun with us!

BEEK BASH 2026 Summer Club Picnic is tomorrow!!!
Rain or shine..🌦.. We are covered with the Altmyer Barn to keep us dry and letting the fun go on as planned.
We have plenty of items for our Silent Auction and will also have a 50/50, so bring some extra cash.
We will be serving Hamburgers🍔, Hotdogs🌭, cake🎂 and drinks🥤, so bring a side dish to share and make it a point to come and join in the fun!
Dr James Tew will be speaking... "Scouts and Robbers.. Are they one and the same?" 🐝🐝
