We witnessed incredible hard work from these St. Joseph School- Penfield students as they took charge at Mission Control and in our Spacecraft at Challenger Learning Center!

These space explorers from Honeoye Falls-Lima Central Schools went on a journey they’ll never forget! And after we jokingly asked for cupcakes for the crew, one amazing student actually baked and brought some for our team! Safe to say they earned honorary mission specialist status!

Pittsford Central School District

Last Friday, our Challenger Learning Center teamed up with students from Seton Catholic School to take part in a continuous mission that connected Challenger Centers across the nation!

As the sun rose from east to west, each Center completed a segment of their mission before virtually handing it off to the next location. By the end of the day, the mission had “followed the sun” across time zones, bringing students and educators together in one shared experience.

Through this unique collaboration, students learned how interconnected efforts, like mission handoffs, reflect real-world space operations and the global nature of STEM.

The Force was strong on May the 4th with our Jedi‑in‑training! Stormtrooper sightings in mission control confirmed.
