One Profession, One Mission, One Voice.

The future of EMS depends on our willingness to work together. We must move beyond individual agency concerns and recognize the shared challenges affecting the entire profession.

We must advocate for funding models that sustain our services, develop recruitment strategies that attract the next generation, and create working environments that encourage experienced providers to remain in the field.

Most importantly, we must ensure that the voices of EMS professionals are heard by the people who shape public policy, allocate resources, and make decisions affecting our communities.

We are all in this together.

OCTOBER 08, 2026- CHATFIELD, MN

AND THEY’RE OFF! 🏁🔥

Tonight, Chatfield Ambulance Service took the lead as the first crew to participate in the beta test of the "SE EMS SCENARIO RODEO!" 🤠🚑

Crews were divided into teams and rotated through a variety of EMS scenarios, specific skill proficiency stations, and small-group focused training. Each station was designed to challenge providers, encourage teamwork, and reinforce the skills they rely on when responding to real-world emergencies.

The "Scenario Rodeo" brings hands-on, scenario-based learning to the forefront, giving EMS providers opportunities to practice, learn from one another, and strengthen their ability to respond when seconds count.

A huge THANK YOU to Chatfield Ambulance for helping us put this concept to the test! Your participation and feedback will help shape future "Scenario Rodeo" opportunities across Southeastern Minnesota.

OCTOBER 3, 2026- SPRING VALLEY, MN

👉This past weekend, our Spring Valley Area Ambulance EMT cohort jumped right into Airway Management; including NREMT Testable Skills, Airway adjuncts, suctioning, ventilations and more!

Students need to have confidence in the people teaching them. As instructors, our job is not only to teach the skills and knowledge required to become an EMT, but also to create an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and comfortable asking questions.

Confidence is built not given. Every successful skill, scenario, question answered, and mistake learned from helps a student grow. Our encouragement, feedback, and belief in their abilities can make a tremendous difference.

As instructors, we should strive to send students into the field knowing that they may not know everything yet but they know how to think, how to act, and where to turn for help. Building that confidence is just as important as teaching the skill itself.

❄️Winter is Coming! 👀

While you're digging out those Fall accessories and Winter coats, we know they all do not fit anymore, especially with the kids growing like weeds.

Instead of leaving them in the "take to Goodwill or Savers pile", drop them off with ENA MN Zumbro Valley Chapter or at the SE EMS Office. If you would like to do a drop off at your organization, we will arrange to come pick them up!

We will be donating to the Rochester Public School's Community School Stores and Resource Rooms where students can access essential winter coats, accessories and more, at no cost.

Donations of gently used- hats, gloves/mittens, coats, boots, or other cold weather gear. 🚫Please no rips, tears, or stains.

📅Donations will begin the first day of Emergency Nurses' Week, October 11th and will run to the end of the October 2026!

If you do your prepping before the drop-off, bring 'em by the office and we'll have storage available (at least get them out of the back of the car and then you won't have to forget about dropping things off when you are in town 😉)
