Today, we honor the life and legacy of Barbara Ann, whose vision, leadership, and unwavering dedication helped shape the Child Care Council into the organization it is today.

Barbara Ann served as Chief Executive Officer for 37 years, leading the agency through extraordinary growth—from just 1.5 employees to more than 60—while helping transform the landscape of child care throughout our region and across New York State.

Her passion for supporting children, families, and child care providers left a lasting impact that continues to be felt every day through the work we do and the community we serve.

Whether you had the privilege of working alongside Barbara Ann or know her only through the legacy she leaves behind, we are grateful for the foundation she built and the countless lives she touched.Our thoughts are with Barbara Ann's family, friends, former colleagues, and all who are mourning her passing.
