Achwhea and Abdullahi were selected through an application process to participate in the HOPE Academy at Winona State University. This week-long residential leadership and college-preparedness experience was designed to help students see themselves as future college students. Achwhea and Abdullahi had a great experience, learned about being success college students, and made life-long connections.

Cailyah has dreams of a career in the medical field after high school this coming school year. When the application for the RISE Program with Mayo Clinic opened up she jumped at the opportunity to spend June developing leadership skills and exploring careers in healthcare. What an amazing experience learning about medicine and being part of the Mayo Clinic community.

Summer Garden Volunteering

We are still looking for volunteers to help care for our community garden this summer.

Our students work hard each spring to plant and prepare the garden, but with students away during the summer months, we need extra support to keep it thriving.

From June through August, volunteers are needed to assist with watering, weeding, mulching, and occasional harvesting. Your help will ensure the garden remains healthy and productive so that when students return in the fall, it is ready to continue serving as a valuable hands-on learning space.

Thank you for considering donating a few hours of your time to support this important project. Every bit of help makes a difference!
