Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) is proud to announce its Outstanding Educator for 2026, Psychology Instructor Jamie Mahlberg, Ed.D. Dr. Mahlberg was selected for her exemplary teaching, dedication, and commitment to student success.

“Students nominated Dr. Mahlberg for her exceptional contributions to RCTC,” said the College’s Vice President of Academic Affairs, Michelle Pyfferoen. “Evidence of her exemplary teaching, dedicated service, and commitment to the institution, along with numerous student testimonials, reflects the influence she has had on our students and campus community. She is truly a deserving recipient of RCTC’s Outstanding Educator Award.”

One student nominator shared, “Dr. Mahlberg does an outstanding job at being very interactive in this class. Her effort and energy in this class makes me want to have every class with her, and I hope to take more of her classes in the future.”

As a full-time faculty member, Dr. Mahlberg will have her portfolio forwarded to the Minnesota State Board of Trustees as a finalist for the Board of Trustees Award for Excellence. She will be honored, along with colleagues from across the state, at a system-wide celebration in April 2027.
