A great way to close out our LIFE classes for the year!

Today’s final session, “Generational Cycles and the Predicted Crisis” with Steve Troutman, was both fascinating and thought-provoking. We explored the four generational archetypes and the 80-year cycle of “turnings” that help explain where we are today—and what may lie ahead.

A big thank you to Steve for another engaging presentation, and to everyone who joined us this year. We’re so grateful for a wonderful season of learning together!

Have you ever wondered if history really repeats itself? Join Steve for this fascinating and frequently requested LIFE presentation exploring generational cycles and the predicted “Crisis Turning.”

Based on the research, Steve shares the four recurring generational archetypes and how their shifting alignments shape major periods in American history. From “high” and “awakening” to “unraveling” and “crisis,” these repeating 80-year cycles offer intriguing insights into where we are today — and what may come next.

This updated presentation will focus on predictions for the current Crisis Turning and the future beyond it.

In Minnesota, we are often thought of as the land of 10,000 lakes, where our water resources are plentiful. Minnesota may be water-rich, but our resources are not evenly distributed. More than 75% of Minnesotans obtain water for drinking and economic growth from groundwater, and outside the Twin Cities metro area, that number is likely to be well over 90%.

Join us in person to learn about Minnesota’s water resources, how groundwater use affects other users and resources, and how DNR works with water users to ensure sustainable water use.
