This year, Indigenous Peoples’ Day is celebrated on October 12th. I’m sharing an updated version of a graphic I created a few years ago about the Indigenous Peoples in Minnesota. I hope you can take time to dig in deeper to the history of the land you currently reside on. I live in Minnesota which is the land of the Dakota and Anishinaabe. I acknowledge and lament the damaging impact of the history of colonization and modern day colonialism on Indigenous peoples around the world. I will continue to seek out best practices to add support and not harm today and every day. 💛

Do you know how to sign some fall colors?

These kiddos do now!

🍂 We learned how ASL for leaf, falling leaves, brown and orange, and we reviewed red, yellow, green, and tree from last week!
🍁 We sang several songs to practice our ASL and danced to “Autumn Leaves” by Nat King Cole!
🍃 We had a lot of fun with our musical autumn trees — those littles got some fine motor skills practice AND it looks cute no matter how many “leaves”!

What does Chrissy do when she’s not at the studio or teaching a baby/toddler/preK class somewhere?

In today’s edition of (random) we see that Chrissy helps out with crossing guard duty! 🛑

If you like (or need) to be up when the K-5 kiddos are heading to school OR don’t take that afternoon siesta, being a crossing guard might be the right “side hustle” for you too!
Chrissy only sometimes helps out as a sub (mostly in the mornings), which you can do also, or see if there is an open spot for the school year in your neighborhood!
