Our students competed in the Annual Nick Zona Track Meet. They were able show sportsmanship, athleticism and most of all have FUN!

Today I recognize our 6th grade scholars. They have learned about financial literacy, voting and leveraging their student leadership skills. Our Student Voice Committee presented their plan to improve School #5 and secured funding! Congrats to each scholar and thanks Ms. O for being their Coach.💙💛

Our Pre K scholars have been learning about the life cycle of the butterfly and observing it in class.This week they had the chance to release them. This was an exciting learning experience.🦋 ☀️

Twelve RCSD students were recently honored at the Hall of Justice as winners of this year’s J.U.S.T. L.A.W. essay contest!

Throughout the year, students had the opportunity to connect with local judges, tour the Hall of Justice, and learn more about the legal system and careers in law. More than 100 students submitted essays answering the question, “What Justice Means to Me,” with 12 students selected as winners.

Programs like J.U.S.T. L.A.W. give students the opportunity to see learning come to life beyond the classroom while building civic understanding, confidence, and leadership!

Today we celebrate and recognize our staff! Congratulations Mrs. Beckley, Mrs.Deats and Mr. Dennis on receiving the RCSD Educators Of The Year Award.

No amount of words can truly sum up everything mothers do for their children. The love, sacrifice, strength, and care they give each and every day cannot fully be captured in a post, but today we celebrate and thank all mothers and mother figures for everything they do. Happy Mother’s Day!

We also recognize that this day can be difficult for some. To those grieving, navigating complicated relationships, or carrying pain connected to today, we see you and are thinking of you as well.

Our Bobcat Scholars are being trained to lead community circles in our school. This leadership opportunity allows them to strengthen their skills in problem solving, speaking and building positive relationships with their peers. ✨️
