Our next Senior Spotlight is Zanyla Penn! 🎓

I’ve been in Dance Concert every year from 2018 until 2024, and I’ve choreographed 10th, 11th, and 12th grade year! My favorite dance genre is probably somewhere between African and modern dance. 💃🏾

I would like to thank Mr. Sheffer and Mr. Dellagloria for being teachers that I really trust at SOTA and for showing me through the years that they really care about me and support me. 🫶

I would like to thank the Senior Dance Major Class for being amazing people, I can’t think of any other people I would rather spend my senior year with.❤️

I have danced at Borinquen Dance Theatre since I was 11, and I am the President of the Dance Club at SOTA. I plan to go to college for Criminal/Forensic Psychology. 📚

I’m excited for Dance Concert tech week, I love seeing all the dances and how they have improved and blossomed over these last months of rehearsals. ❗️

Our next Senior Spotlight is Seasaidh! ✨@seasaidh I’ve been in Dance Concert since 7th grade and my favorite style to perform is Jazz. 🕺 I’d like to thank my family as well as my closest friends Taylor, Nina, Jessie, and Gerik for always making me laugh and being by my side. I’d also like to thank the DIVINE NINE and all the dance teachers for making this senior year the best ever. ❤️ Outside of SOTA, I danced at Flower City Ballet, renamed Rochester Dance Theatre for 10 years! At SOTA I have been a part of Math League, Dance Club, Gardening Club, National Honors Society, and of course Dance Concert! ✨ After high school I plan on attending college majoring in Social Work. 🎓 This Dance Concert I am most excited for tech week and making final memories with our amazing cast. 🫶🏻 Congrats Seasaidh! ❣️ #sotarochester #danceconcert #rochesterdance #onercsd

Our next Senior Spotlight is Lorenzo! @lorenzo_acevedo01 🎓✨ This is my third year dancing in Dance Concert, and I choreographed a piece in 2023. 🪩 I would like to thank all of my my dance teachers, especially Ms Bell. Also, my best friend Zanyla for always motivating me. ❣️ My future plans include studying at GCC & FIT for two years to become a Fashion Designer. 👗 My favorite dance style would be Contemporary, Ballet and Acro. Our first Senior Spotlight is Ella! ✨ @_ella_dorm_ I’ve been in Dance Concert since 7th grade, and my favorite dance genre is Jazz. 💃🏻 I would like to thank my family for their support & the dance teachers: Bell, Koshi and Phillips for being my mentors, always pushing me to do my best. Also our dance class for being the funniest, most kind group of people I’ve ever met. 💞 I danced at Ashford Dance Company for 14 years, played Softball and Volleyball at SOTA, and participated in various clubs like Model UN, Math League, & Ski Club. I plan on attending college for Business, specifically Marketing. 📚 I am most excited for tech week and getting even closer with the cast. Also just getting to perform my last Dance Concert.
