TR Class-Nov. 4th:
Happy November! We started talking about space today! We read “Surviving in Space.” We learned about how astronauts need to zip themselves into a sleeping bag when they want to sleep and talked about how gravity does not work like it does on earth. For art, we painted stars on black paper with silver and white paint. We started talking about the letter E and listened to “The Enormous Elephant Show.” For snack, we ate string cheese and applesauce. We had chapel with Pastor Anna and talked about how God created everything-even space! Playing in the space station, play dough, and art were all popular today. At the end of the day, we went to the park.

Pre-K Literacy
We read Space Boy And His Dog and we talked about gravity and what it would be like if we didn’t have gravity in our classroom. Floating on our carpet circles sounded pretty fun to our preschoolers!
We practiced writing letter Ee on our whiteboards and on our journal page. It’s so fun for our preschoolers to discover words that start with Ee randomly as we are going about our day. Easy was the E word we discovered.
We made a rocket ship with our name and added some glitter stickers.
We went to the gym for a little bit and practiced throwing soft frisbees and tried hitting a ball with a small racket.
We packed away our calabazas and brought out Bluey characters along with some new loose parts to explore with.

Friday 10/31/25
Spanish/Science
We read The Witch Who Couldn’t Fly.
We made our own potions! We used water and added a bat, a spider, 3 glow in the dark plastic bones, some Halloween confetti, glitter, and foam circles. We talked about how some of the items sunk to the bottom and some floated on top of the water. We added baby oil which looked just like water and talked about how they don’t like to mix. They always separate. We added a dash of silver or gold watercolor paint for effect.
They looked so neat when they are shaken, the silver or gold swirls.
We trick or treated all afternoon with the beanie babies, but only after they all had costumes.

We read The 12 Days of Halloween.
We made Arañas (spiders) out of applesauce tops and pipe cleaners and added pelo (hair) for fun.
The preschoolers were playing school and that progressed into trick or treating with the beanie babies that progressed into making costumes for them out of kleenex, pipe cleaners, and paper.
We tried something different and used our new different shaped blocks to make pumpkin towers and haunted houses.
We had chalkboards and chalk out with a paint brush and water to erase.
