Nazareth hones students' talents and prepares them for a life in the performing arts. Every day in classrooms, rehearsal rooms, studio settings and large performance spaces, our theatre students are trained to reach inside themselves and use their talents to move audiences. Our programs in the Nazareth College Theatre Arts Program include the following:

B.F.A Musical Theatre
B.F.A Technical Production (with a concentration in Lighting, Costume or Scenic Design)
B.S. Theatre Arts with Childhood Education

Minors: Dance, Musical Theatre, Technical Production, Theatre Arts.

Join us OCTOBER 8-10th in Nazareth University production of Our Town!

Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning three-act play that explores the profound beauty in ordinary life within the small fictional town of Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, between 1901 and 1913 comes to the Nazareth stage this fall! This story explores everyday life, love, and death with a small village that you definitely don’t want to miss!

Presented by our Page-to-Stage Class, "WILD HEART" is a score of powerful pop hits in a witty, fast-paced retelling of the iconic story of Joan of Arc, a 17-year-old girl who changed the world. In this pop-rock adaptation, Joan is a warrior for everyone. She led the charge to end a war that started before she was born and overthrow the greatest military power in the world—THAT is punk rock! She talked to angels, stood up to princes, argued with canon lawyers, and held her own in the face of public ex*****on by fire. She led an army with no experience because she was absolutely convinced that if she didn’t save the world, nobody would. Joan is a hero perfect for anyone who has been born into a system that seems broken beyond repair, dares to imagine a better future, and works hard to bring that future into existence.

Full of defiant, chart-topping anthems by P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, Andra Day, Weezer, Melissa Etheridge, and more, WILD HEART affords powerful leading male and female roles and a richly developed ensemble full of saints, townspeople, followers, and detractors. Our annual Theatre & Dance Department dinner (hosted by Theatre League & NDO) was full of heartfelt senior speeches, well-deserved awards celebrating the incredible talent of our students, and so many unforgettable moments. 💜💛

And the biggest spotlight of all? Celebrating Jeff Shade as he moves into retirement! The impact Jeff has had on generations of students is something truly special - a legacy built on passion, dedication, and love. Thank you for inspiring us all to have confiDANCE 💫

🌟CABARET OF SONDHEIM🌟

Join us on Saturday, May 2nd, in A13 to celebrate the talent of our Theatre & Dance students and Stephen Sondheim! Stephen Sondheim is a composer and lyricist who created works like "West Side Story", "Sweeney Todd" and "Into The Woods".
