Caleb’s favorite memory:
My favorite Pathways memory would have to be the time I was practicing with my Pathways teacher, Lauren Eisenreich, when she challenged me to do an improvised duet with her. At first, I was very doubtful of my ability to play anything intelligible - and was doubtful of her ability to keep my improvising aloft since harmonizing with complete nonsense is nearly impossible - but was taken aback when I didn't play the most mediocre melody and when Lauren played around it with ease. This was my favorite memory in Pathways because it was one of the first times I felt like I had the potential to improvise something that sounded good since I had never really improvised anything satisfactory.”
