Congratulations to Dr. Günter Oberdoerster for receiving the Fuchs Memorial Award, the premier international prize in aerosol science. It is presented every four years at the International Aerosol Conference, which was held 8/30-9/5 in Xi’an China. This is the most prestigious award in the field of aerosol science for exceptionally meritorious research and global contributions to understanding the sources of airborne pollutants and their human health effects. 🎉

Congratulations to IHHE faculty member Dr. Francisco (Paco) Cartujano-Barrera for receiving a $2.2 million NIH grant to study the use of a text-messaging program to encourage Latino adults to stop smoking and increase physical activity. 🎉

The NIH awarded a $2 million grant to a Wilmot Cancer Institute team for this project.
